A sublime and sunny treat for musical comedy fans of all ages, Huddersfield Light Opera Company have chosen Me and My Girl as their Centenary production.
Bill Snibson, a Lambeth costermonger, is revealed to be the new Earl of Hareford and his newly-discovered aristocratic relations are horrified. Bringing him to Hareford Hall, they attempt to educate Bill into the ways of the gentry and to separate him from his cockney girlfriend Sally.
The result? Chaos of the most comical kind!
With a host of hilarious characters, witty one-liners and several toe-tapping, uplifting songs including the famous Lambeth Walk, The Sun Has Got His Hat On and Leaning On A Lamp Post.

What a superb show. I attended Friday evenings performance and thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Such professional and talented stars. Excellent quality. Bill and Sally were great. I haven't seen a show as good in a long time. Well done all and congratulations on your centenary year.
What a stunning show - The stage is filled with talented performers from the moment the fantastically painted show cloth rises. This is a perfect showcase production with brilliant scenery, costumes and props all enhanced by the subtle but very clever lighting. Well done to all concerned and congratulations on your Centenary achievement.
I saw this show last night and if i was sitting in London having paid £80.00 a ticket i would have loved it as it is i paid £18.00!!!!!!! And it was one of the best shows i have ever seen. The standard was exceptional! Bill and Sally were phenominal and i was amazed they were not professionals! The whole cast and show was fab! Well done and have a great rest of the run!
Fantastic show!!! I came with my Mum and Gran last night and was blown away. Everything was fantastic, The lighting the costumes the set. Bill and Sally were Fantastic. The whole of the cast were amazing. Hope all goes well for Huddersfield Light Opera for the rest of the week. And Happy Centenary to you.
